Dear Small Stream Salmon Fishing forum members,

Considering your interest in fishing (outdoor activity), the University of Colorado Denver invites you to participate in a study of local information search experience.

Looking for local information on the Web can be time-consuming and frustrating. Our goal is to identify the best blend of information source that meets your needs so better systems can be designed. Your opinion is most valuable in helping us achieve this goal.

Your participation is voluntary and all information is confidential.

The survey takes 5-10 minutes to complete. If you are 18 or older, living in the United States, and have ever searched for local information on the Web, please participate in this survey by visiting: http://ouray.cudenver.edu/~lhsu/infoseek/

Your participation is greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Sincerely,
Li-ling Hsu

This research is being conducted under the supervision of my dissertation advisor, Dr. Zhiping Walter (http://www.business.cudenver.edu/Disciplines/InfoSystems/Faculty/Walter.html).

It's a bit dry and repetative, thankfully it's only 30 questions. It's right to the point where you wanna crack and say 'no more'. But I always try to help out anyone doing it for school.

Spade,
Thanks for your participation and helping me out with my thesis survey. I understand how you feel as I have taken survey before. Unfortunately, I am now the one who create it. :o

:) I hate when I have to use someone else's work. A few others here have taken it also, they just took it before you posted it ;)

To Small Stream Salmon Fishing members,
Since the survey does not ask for identifiable information, I don't know who have taken it. Thank you all for participation. I really appreciate your input.

I completed the survey, it wasn't that bad. My answers were honest and it only took a few minutes. It was a bit repetitive and I'm sure there is a reason for that. It is my hope that this will help in some way.

Thanks Ken. Honest responses are always very helpful. Survey questions are usually repetitive becasue researchers need to use similar questions for one thing they want to ask. So if respondants click answers randomly without reading the questions first, multiple questions are easier to show the fact than one question. :)
