Since both the wife and I are currently on vacation, we decided to head down to Spirit MOuntain Casino to meet her parents who were coming up from their beach vacation in Lincoln City.
Drop the little one off at pre-school at 8 and head for the casino. Not a bad drive down, just one small snow spot around Wilsonville, but get there around 10. Lose enough money that its time to regroup and have lunch. Look outside and its snowing...this really wasn't in the foreccast, and its supposed to warm-up....and what the heck, lets try to win some cash back and head home.
Win just enough so its not a complete emptying of the pockets and get in the car at 2:30...let me repeat...2 freakin 30!!!
Went back through Salem...almost put the car in a ditch in the hills outside of Dallas, still not sure how we didn't...car starts to overheat just out of salem...finally get I-5 and its going pretty well until Woodburn...then red lights, and it takes 3 hours to go 10 miles.
Car starts to oiverheat again once we finally hit 205...stopped and got some coolant...grabbed a bite to eat and let the engine cool a bit.
Finally get the little one at Grandma's house (they had to get her from preschool for us, else we be late)....\
And now here I sit typing my rant with a cold one sitting beside me that will quickly need to be refilled...
Did I mention how much I love snow??? :eek:
