What time do you usually go to bed before a big fishing trip?
I try to stay up all night but end up falling asleep at 2 or 3.:rolleyes: I just think its impossible to fall asleep at 9 or 10? Dont you think?

I typically will hit the sack around 11pm. But if it's a wake up before 4am I try to get to bed at 10. Trying to drive long distances on little sleep SUCKS. You'll find out in 4-5 years. :p

I like to get atleast 3 hours, I find myself yawning all day if I dont. I know what you mean about driving exhausted, I'm fine driving country roads or in town, but if you put me on a long boring straight freeway I'm fighting the sleep.

I do my best on 6 hrs sleep. I can do lees if I get in a rythem. I used to get up at 3:30 every morning to go to work for the last 5 years. Makes it alot easier when you do it all the time. My hours have changed the last six months. It really messed up my program.

Now we know why I love being an afternoon/evening angler... I got up early this last Friday and Saturday and it just about killed me. It was worth it and all but wow...IM still in recovery.... I do not think it matters how much sleep I get if its under 6 and I gotta get up early. The bright side is In general I have the water to myself later in the day : )

I can't sleep for hoo haw when it is the night before a fishing trip even it is just to Sandy or Clackamas. It's like my brain does not shut off. So, I hit the sack at 10 and wake up periodically throughout the night. It really kinda sucks.
