If you are wondering about our new fishing show and when it will be on air, heres the scoop.

Pacific Ghost Productions comes of age

Our studio is going through major upgrade right now and will have a ton of new software to learn. Pro Tools 8 recording studio package with monitors and mics and direct connection M2 box for recording vocal and guitar tracks and general music.

Sony Acid Pro with Metal construction kit has also been added to help generate our own music for the show to mix with the star studed music arrangements we have for the show from artists like Lo-Pro, The Burrmans, Skin Lab, Andy Mckee and John Jaunese.

We are also installing a killer spendy new video editing setup complete with 5.1 surround dolby digital DVD editing and mastering.

AND Yet another new super power computer to run the new updated systems. 4 gigs RAM, Quad core Atholon Pheonon chips.

Last but not least, dvd video tutorials for all of the above, so I can figure out how to use it all!

I am very glad we can finaly get this studio up to par. It may take me a year just to learn this new stuff but we already have much of the work for this season complete and only needed the PRO TOOLS 8 to complete the high qaulity voice overs and acoustic tracks needed for the first season of the show.

I had intended to have this all ready by spring but the Pro Tools 8 package was on back order for 2 months because of high demand for the new more powerful interface in PT8.

Pro Tools is arriving today finaly, after 2 months of BO! So back to work we go!

Sooooo....

I will keep you all posted and try to get a few clips up but I am going right into the trailor for this seasons show as my training! Hoping to have all episodes ready for release by late summer or early fall. We are looking at about five 20 minute episodes for our first season.

Hey Matt,

I just saw an advertisement on Comcast Sports Net, wanting people who are interested in having their tv shows on the air. I would check it out.

I cant wait to see some of these episodes. I'm curious, about how many minutes of footage would you generally have to shoot for a 20 minute program? I'm guessing it's more than people would think.

IM sure you can already guess it kind of depends on the type of fishing we are doing and the number of bites we get in a day that determin that. If you trying to film a side drift take you could tape for hours to get the one good take on film. But if your fly fishing in a bucket of fish an hour of tape can be alot to sift through, because you only need the best 20 minutes.

That was the case when we fished with Ed French in Alaska for Pinks. We had time that day to do EVERYTHING a guy could want.

Sweet Deal. I've been trying to get some video just to play with some editing, but it's tough. The first thing though my mind when that rod goes off isn't "bust out the camera!".

He has quickly become one my absolute favorite modern classical guitarist. Definitely a great choice :-)

Not to hijack but I would also check out Kaki King on Youtube - she is a very, very talented up-and-coming classical guitarist as well and is quickly becoming one of my favorites.
