I've been searching for a certain out of production item for awhile now and one finally came up to auction about 2 weeks ago and luckily I won. I spool all of my reels with bulk line I buy at the store. It's cheaper to do it this way and I have some older reels that can't handle the motorized line winders.
In the past I've used the Berkley line winder, phone books, and even managed to coax my wife in to helping me put line on reels.:D Well no more my friends. Say hello to my little friend....."The Line Reeler". It has suction cups on the bottom so it doesn't move unlike the Berkley line winder, and it has two smooth metal washers that apply tension to the line. The tension can be increased or decreased by tightening or loosening the nut & spring on the end of the washers. If you like to spool your own reels I highly recommend "The Line Reeler" if you can find one ;)
