I can think of two things I'd fish for that weekend.

    Or

Back in the day, we had some great trips for Astoria Sturgeon on Memorial Day Weekend.

Another option is Tillamook Springers. They are more difficult to catch and generally not as abundant, but they are a prime fish.

Absolutely coastal springers. Er, I mean, I hear Hagg lake has a good perch bite then. Lol

I agree that the Tilla spring run is a good option because you have 3 days to sit on it and figure it out. For a backup I would look into Umpqua, since you do have 3 days : )

I spent 20 years in ole Astoria Town. Going back there is a lot of fun, but it takes a toll on my liver. Besides I go there almost every weekend in the winter......Hmmmm the Umpqua sounds like fun. Quite frankley fishing anywhere on Memorial Weekend would be great. I've got a three dayer this upcomming weekend! Presidents Day ya know. I will say hi to the folks over in Seaside/Astoria for ya. There was a fantastic Crab Feed at the Seaside Elks Lodge this past weekend with lots of crab, drinks, and music. The fishing was slow, but it was nice to be among good friends and I even got my wife out for one of the few times since her surgeries last fall. Its all good............

Umpqua has good sturgeon too. That's also good striper fishing time. Sometimes I have trouble deciding what to fish for.

    You know....

Hamfish is a great guy that I enjoyed taking fishing last year. He also has great posts. How come he hasn't been on a flotilla with us or a pizza dinner?

    Hmmmmmm?

Tilly, astoria, mfwilly or kenzie or even Nfk Santiam if fishing is great. The thing about the coast is that when the springers aren't biting during the middle of the day, the salty bass are nothing less than ferocious at night. 12 pack and a good rock to stand on are priceless, especially if your filling your beer depleated backpack, and then if the tides are right you can beat up some surfperch during the morning low tide and still have a great family va-ca at the beach and a great fish fry....
