Rain, hail, thunder, lightning, wind, fog...and some blood thirsty skeeters ....but warm.......


Harriet report........the same but with a few small browns released.

My partner ... I asked him if he saw the wheather for the day.....wondering because I had seen alot of thunder heads over Hood all week....he said.....nice, nice, nice and more [bad word] nice................lol.......Rain, hail, thunder, lightning, wind, fog...and some blood thirsty skeeters ....but warm.......


Needless to say it was very beautiful up there with all the myst and wet green forest..Think I will try again next week

Haha woww... Funny because me and some friends were thinking about doing an end-of-the-year camping trip up there last weekend. Guess we didn't miss much lol. Might do a camping trip later in the summer. I really want to hit Olallie if they would freakin' stock it this year... i'm still appalled they didn't stock it last year. :-/

I was expecting more wild trout to be caught while plunkin works flag on the bottom [also tried floating a haed half of worm with a larger black corkie] because that hows they usally like it this time of year. There was a few small wild rainbows surfacing just out of our casting range from the bank. Trolling a fly from a float tube with an intermidiate sinking line would have surely had better results. IM thinking olive Wooly anything.......

I will try that approach on the next round but the wheather was not going to permit float tube use yesterday lolz. Attention all available lightning, IM holding a 9 foot graphite steel tipped something......

I checked out the new boat ramp at Estacada Lake on Sunday. It's actually in McIver Park. In between the campground and the boat ramp there is that turnout for parking to acess the spillway below rivermill dam. That gate is now open and there is a day use little park kinda thing there complete with a disabled fishing pier. Lots of trout being taken from there. The littlee woman and I floated the old fish hunter 360 on it and came back with a few hatchery trout. I love to dig out the ultra lite tackle. Kinda hard to tie knots in 4' test. hee hee

Roger that, Estacada is not so far from us. Offcourse IM also interested in the short cut into the dam hole lol....
